Author Tamaryn Byrne was born and raised in Kona, Hawaii where her love of storytelling goes back to early childhood years when her Grandpa Phillips would tell illustrative stories about growing up in Wales. The grand adventures sparked a creative imagination and desire to draw and create little handmade books depicting her own fun-filled events. Her books created now are inspired by growing up in Hawaii, with colorful illustrations and details inspired by the rich culture of the islands. Writing and illustrating children's books is a way for her to give back to the community through storytelling as well as bringing a sense of wonder to her niece and nephews' hearts, as her Grandpa did for her as a child.
