Dr. S.P. Venkata Ramana arbeitet als außerordentlicher Professor am Fachbereich Zoologie der Yogi Vemana Universität, Kadapa - A.P. - Indien. Er hat mehr als 110 Forschungsarbeiten/Artikel/Bücher auf dem Gebiet der Biologie, Vielfalt und Erhaltung von Schmetterlingen veröffentlicht. Er hat vier große Forschungsprojekte erfolgreich abgeschlossen und 4 Doktortitel mit 7 Arbeiten vergeben.
