Against a backdrop of environmental standards becoming increasingly stringent, and the growing environmental consciousness of clients, the importance of life cycle assessment to those working in the built environment has increased dramatically. After outlining the framework for life cycle assessment, this book uses a range of case studies to demonstrate the innovative input-output-based hybrid approach for compiling a life cycle inventory.
