Tiffany Traynham Klappenbach is a wife, mother, grandmother, writer, and speaker. Her freelance writing career began over 30 years ago, when she was shy and lacked self confidence. While in school, she enjoyed the written assignments over having to give speeches and book reports. She was surprised when she felt led to write, because she had never considered writing as her career. At about the same time she began writing, she became interested in genealogy and her life changed. She wanted to tell the world about her ancestors' accomplishments. She joined heredity societies and became involved on the local and state levels, and learned to give speeches about her ancestors. She held committee chairmanships and offices of Chaplain and President. She now enjoys telling her story and seeks out ways to do so. She teaches a group of senior adults in Sunday school and gives devotions for her church circle. In her autobiography, the author explores the effects her father's drinking had on her-especially during her teenage years. On the surface, she might appear to have led a charmed life, but problems developed in school when she had to give speeches. She lacked self-confidence and would stammer and stutter her way through the speech. Later, as an adult, she realized that her father's alcohol abuse-mainly on weekends-caused her depression and anxiety attacks. As an adult, Tiffany became involved in several historical and genealogical societies, holding various offices in many of them as she gained pride in her ancestors' accomplishments. She also got some needed psychological counseling in which the counselor advocated writing her feelings down. Tiffany desires to witness for the Lord. She hopes her book will be helpful to others who struggle with personal issues and help them to resolve these issues even as she has.
