People are not happy with the machine in Washington. The government is supposed to watch after its people, but instead taxes are up, food prices are up, gasoline is up. The people think it's great that wages are up but does everything else have to go up with wages? Someone is going to attempt to make changes in Washington. One by one the dominoes in particular Congressional seats will be taken down, until the President and his cronies make the proper changes to please their constituents. How many Senators and Congressmen will have to fall before the people are happy again? An Army marksman and combat veteran is home from the war. He aligns himself with individuals wanting to make those changes, but he is not doing it for the politics. He has hired himself out as a gun for hire. The highest bidder will make the changes the country needs. But how many dominoes will have to fall before all is well, and how many will remain in the House, or the Senate?
Autorenporträt
Born in Rhode Island in 1947 on a federal holiday Bob's destiny was already set. The US Army sent him to Viet Nam. Combat left him with a disability that has challenged him all his life. But he married and helped put three daughters through college. Two have earned master's degrees in their field and the third is the proud owner of an Irish Pub. Bob says she's earned a degree in Mixology. Bob and his wife share seven grandchildren four of which are still in college. His hobbies are singing Barbershop Harmony with the local chorus, traveling with his wife, at home and abroad, and writing. Every year at Christmas Bob includes a short Christmas story in the card. Let the Dominoes Fall is Bob's second book. His first, Sitting On a Headstone is in its third printing under the pen name Sly T'ly Bendt. Look for it. It's a personal history of 18 months in a war zone.
