Autorenporträt
Author and historian Hope Benedict was born and raised in the Lemhi Valley, as were her parents and grandparents. Her love of the area's history and her sense of commitment to place brought her back after earning a Ph.D. in the history of the American West at the University of Oregon. Benedict now works as a historical consultant and serves as president and coordinator of the Lemhi County Historical Society and Museum, which has provided the images for this volume. Additional vintage photographs were obtained from private collections throughout Lemhi County.
