Autorenporträt
Lois J. Lambert, a native of Piketon, Ohio, received her A.B. degree in History from Wilmington College, and her M.A. degree in Anthropology from the University of Cincinnati. She is a retired teacher and former Coordinator of Education at the Cincinnati Museum of Natural History. After retiring from education, she embarked upon a new career as an author and speaker. Her first publications included two award winning regimental histories: 91st Ohio Volunteer Infantry, 2005, and Heroes of the Western Theater, 33rd Ohio Veteran Volunteer Regiment, 2008. Her next efforts were directed toward the role of women during the Civil War and included Treasured Memories of a Civil War Widow, 2011, and Julia and Ulys, the Childhood, Courtship and Early Married Life of Julia Dent and Ulysses S. Grant, 2013. Legacy, a departure from her earlier nonfiction works, is her first historical fiction novel, an historical romance inspired by a true story. Lois is the mother of two children, and the grandmother of four. She and her husband live in Loveland, Ohio, along with, Jubal, the family feline.
