This group, which took the name of Piedmontese Autonomist Movement (Moviment Autonomista Piemontèis, MAP) and soon later Autonomist Piedmont (Piemont Autonomista, PA), wanted to make an alliance with Lega Lombarda of Umberto Bossi, in contrast with UP leader Roberto Gremmo.
