This syllabus is designed for 2nd ESO (Compulsory Secondary Education) students and teachers. The starting point has been an analysis of the learning objectives, information about the learners and beliefs about the learning process itself. This syllabus includes a first part with the context in which it is intended to be implemented, a second part is related to the general objectives of the school year, and a third part where is the planning of the didactic units which contains ten tables, one for each unit, with the learning objectives, the contents, the contribution to the key competences, the different activities to carry out and the evaluation. After this, the methodology and the learning materials used are explained in detail. Finally, the evaluation and school initiatives regarding English subject are explained and as the final point, a didactic unit is developed. The main objective of this syllabus is to give the teacher some tips in order to be able to help students acquire the key competences through a syllabus based on the Communicative Approach.
