You can sing a lie just as well as you can tell a lie! C. S. Lewis once said, "If Christianity is not real, you have nothing to lose; but, if Christianity is real, you have everything to lose!" Simply put, if Christianity is not real, I have lost an illusion, but if Christianity is real, you who do not believe will lose your immortal soul! ¿Fire burns whether you believe it or not. ¿Drugs kill whether you believe it or not. ¿Sex outside of marriage is a sin, whether you believe it or not. ¿Hell is an absolute eternal reality, whether you believe it or not. If hell is not real, the cross was a colossal hoax. If someone says, "I don't believe in hell, but I have a relationship with Christ," this person is not standing on absolute truth, but their own pompous ignorance and utterly saturated in a theological confusion. Why in the world would Christ come into the world, allowing Himself to be mocked, spit on and ridiculed, beaten until bones were exposed, and then nailed to the cross to die of asphyxiation? The Bible speaks about hell all the way through, from cover to cover. If you do not believe in hell, then how can you possibly believe what the Bible teaches about heaven? Therefore, how can you believe what the Bible teaches about Christ? You can't pick up the Bible and say, "I believe in this, but I don't believe in that." This isn't a theological Luby's buffet! The Bible is either the Word of God or a fable; it is the whole truth and nothing but the truth, or it is a flop, a fraud, and a counterfeit. The Word of God begins in Genesis 1 and ends in Revelation 22, and every word of it is the truth. The Word is good for reproof, doctrine, and teaching in the House of God. You cannot exclude any of it and dare call yourself a Bible-believing Christian. The Word of God is either all of the truth or none of the truth. If there is no hell, then Jesus Christ died for a lost cause, a sad memory at best. If hell is not real, tear out Matthew 18:8-9, Matthew 25:41, and Matthew 5:22. If hell is not real, rip out Mark 9:43, Mark 9:44-45, and Mark 9:46-47. If there is no hell, we can forget about Luke 16, the rich man, and Lazarus. If there is no hell, we can remove Revelation 21:8 and Revelation 20:10. If hell is not real, that would make Jesus Christ a pathological liar, which would make the gospels invalid and the entirety of the Christian faith a house of cards. Where did this "no hell" doctrine come from? Oh yeah, the prince of darkness, the author and father of confusion! Are you enrolled in the theology school of There is no Hell? Wake up! Get up off your theological duff and seek the truth! If you do not believe there is something to be saved from, how can you possibly win someone to a living Savior?
