Juana Cortés Amunarriz has a degree in philosophy from the University of the Basque Country. She lives in Madrid, where she began her literary career in 2004. Her first novel was Memorias de un ahogado, and she has been followed by others, including a book of short stories, Queridos Niños , Baile del Sol, and the young adult novel, Corazón, mano, corazón.
