Autorenporträt
Dr. Ellyn Lucas Arwood is a speech and language pathologist who has been working in higher education for 39 years. As the author of six textbooks and numerous articles and monographs on language and learning, she has established a reputation as an expert in how language is used for learning and how language and cognition interact. As a practitioner in education, Dr. Arwood is often referred to as a "lady before her time". Her development of assessment methods and instructional strategies for children and adults has positively influenced the lives of thousands of individuals, both nationally and internationally. She is a professor in the School of Education at the University of Portland and resides in Tualatin, Oregon.
