"From rallies to morning meetings: keys to understanding AMLO's political success. A lot has been written about Andérs Manuel óLpez Obrador from different perspectives, but on limited occasions in an objective manner. Yolanda Meyenberg Leycegui uses the analytical tools of Political Science and History to offer us the vision of a character who, throughout his political journey, has adopted many archetypes to finally reach the Presidency of the Republic with that of redeemer. Unlike other candidates who became president on their first attempt, AMLO took 14 long years to achieve it, during which time he built a óLpez Obrador narrative. In this sense, it was not only his campaign speeches that brought him to power, but his interpretation of history and reality, as well as his ability to manipulate current situations in his favor. This work is at the same time a study and a brief political biography of a leader who has undoubtedly marked the history of contemporary Mexico."--Translation of the Spanish summary.
