King Khalid is Proud makes children believe in themselves, and helps them develop the type of confidence that turns into rock-solid self-esteem. ¿¿¿¿¿Very positive and fun read. Any book affirming children of color, especially black boys, is a win. And this book does a great job of that as well as teaching a lesson (from black father to his son, which is another plus) about how to do more and think bigger. My little one loves it. Had it under his pillow while sleeping and it's even encouraged him and inspired him to start his own business.

Chapman is an entrepreneur and author, having written and produced a motivational play for teens, Ancestors Inc., and self-published three books, The Advent of Planet Martyr: An Innovative Social Commentary and children's books I Know I Can! and King Khalid is Proud. ¿ A graduate of Spelman College (B.A. in Spanish) and Babson College (M.B.A.), Veronica commits her gifts and ideas to improving the world. To fulfill her commitment, she founded Boxxout Enterprises where she designs creative solutions for social change.
