Shirley Martin lives in Ucluelet BC, on the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island, Canada. When not distracted by beachcombing, kayaking, and researching local history, Shirley loves to hunker down in her cozy log home by the sea. Kateri O'Leary and the Show Dog Scene is her second novel for middle-grade readers. The feisty and freckled Kateri has captured Shirley's imagination; a third book for the series is in the works.
