The younger of two boys, Arnie Harris was born in East London to an English mother and an Austrian father who had come to Britain to escape persecution. Arnie and his family moved home to Wembley in 1966, a few years after his father had set-up in business there. He left his local grammar school aged 16 to work in the family firm, which he did until it was sold 9 years later.Determined to make his own way in the world, Arnie was able to forge a successful career in sales, management and training roles. In 2016, an episode concerning his health changed his perspective on life, and convinced him to retire from full-time employment. He has since devoted his time to his love of writing - mostly poetry - and realised a dream when his first book, The Messenger, was published in 2019.'journey is Arnie's follow-up publication, which he is very proud to introduce. He also gives very well received talks to various organisations, which are generally based around the positivity and motivational content of the two books.Living close to London, the author is just a short drive away from his daughter, who is undoubtedly his biggest source of pride and inspiration.
