This book is a compilation of original inspirational narrative, poetry, prose, art and lyrics, in five parts, honoring the sacredness of human existence and life experiences. All of the poems rhyme and have a rhythm of an almost musical sense. Some contain profound messages regarding present worldly conditions. Produktbeschreibung
This book is a compilation of original inspirational narrative, poetry, prose, art and lyrics, in five parts, honoring the sacredness of human existence and life experiences. All of the poems rhyme and have a rhythm of an almost musical sense. Some contain profound messages regarding present worldly conditions. It inspires to search deep within the soul and reevaluate and explore our priorities and personal relationships, as well as the relationship and love we have with and for ourselves, God, Nature, and Humankind. This work is un-convoluted, honest, compassionate and touching. It is also very clear. This artist finds a way with words that is so understandable and easy to relate to that you don't have to have a degree in literature, philosophy, or even be a fan of the art to appreciate all she has to say. In part three all of the poems pertain to romantic and sensual love. Each one is a short story in itself. Some of them are very personal pieces which acknowledge and express the deepest of human emotions. This is done with truthfulness, wisdom and grace. For the closing pieces the author shares a heartfelt eulogy written for her grandmother (to whom the book is dedicated) and a last poem found by her daughter (shortly before completion of this collection) which was written by the author in 1966. It is a variable testimony of the truthfulness and purity of her work.
Autorenporträt
If life had lyrics they would be her words. Sandra Credendino- Nile sees herself as a woman with a message. One of which she chooses, or perhaps has been chosen to share through the written word. Her passion for life and art coalesce in her work. Self-expression has always been the font head from which her artistic gifts spring. Love and its sensual expression on all levels inspire her. From an early age her ability to express herself creatively was easily recognized. As an only child she spent much of her time exploring and developing her artistic gifts. Having had little interest in academics she found the confinement of a classroom extremely difficult. She signed herself out of school at the age of sixteen, to pursue her life...and her art. Now, after over five years of mostly reclusive writing and living, Ms. Credendino-Nile has completed her first book. A compilation of beautifully, divinely inspired poetry, prose, art and lyrics, titled "Journey Through the Heart...of a Modern Mystic". It contains some of her most sublime work, so far. Her gift for rhyming and rhythm is innate. Using witty word play and double entendres, she translates complex and compelling subjects into a simple rendering of passion, emotion and wisdom. Her art and her messages are understandable, identifiable, and often powerful. She inspires us to search deeper into our hearts and reevaluate our lives, relationships and priorities. Many of her poems pertain to the true meaning of love and intimacy. She includes some very personal pieces which acknowledge and express the deepest of human emotions. Her words convey a deep sense of truthfulness, sensuality and wisdom. Sandra Credendino-Nile is a true wordsmith. But, her talent is certainly not limited to one genre. This writer of love and truth has breathed more life into her words by giving them a voice, set to music. Her style is meltingly seductive, soft yet strong. And if you look deeper into this enigma of a woman you will find that there is more to her than meets the eye and ear. She is an extremely intelligent artist...and a rebel with a cause. Her poems/lyrics Sweet Mercy (about homelessness in NY), Human Condition, Human Anthem, and Writing on the Wall (addressing 911) make that very clear. In All It Takes, she exposes her very soft, romantic side. Then, In the Wake of the Truth (title song of her album) and Too Beautiful (For the Boys in the Bar) she gives a self serving, straight-up attitude. She is an extremely versatile artist. But all of her messages...whether they are rebellious, compassionate, romantic, seductive, sad or witty, have one common thread...meaningfulness. Her work is inspiring, compelling, truthful and passionate. The author has also created visual vehicles for her verses. She is currently designing the art for Bliss, a new women's wear and accessories line based in South Florida of which a portion of profits goes to various charities for children in distress. Her (c)Mystic Love Designs (see line drawings of girls with heart by clicking on View Author's Art) along with witty words or quotes can be found on yoga wear, tees, tank tops and accessories.
