Bev Jo Beck, also known as Josey, was born in St. Louis Missouri. She grew up in the foothills along with her brothers and sisters. She knew the hunger and the pain of having very little. There were hard times and there were good times. She learned to work the earth and make things grow. She loved it! She was close to God and nature. Her experience and curiosity of the big world around her taught her how to survive. Her children around her were the root of her happiness. She helped others and in turn helped herself.
