Marianne Wolf was born in Joliet and is an active member of the Joliet Croatian Culture Club, the Slovenian Women's Union of America Branch No. 20, and a 50-year member of Kranjsko Slovenska Katoliska Jednota Lodge No. 29. She serves on the boards of the Illinois Woman's Press Association and the TallGrass Writers Guild and works for the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs.
