Author Graham Gauld followed the career of the Scotsman right from its very beginning. He has fi lled the roles of friend, photographer and reporter, and thus spent innumerable hours with Clark. Graham Gauld, geboren in Edinburgh, berichtete 1951 über seine erste Motorsportveranstaltung. Danach arbeitete er zwölf Jahre lang für die schottische Wochenzeitschrift Motor World, zunächst als Sportredakteur von 1955 bis 1960 und dann als Redakteur von 1960 bis 1967. Später war er Redakteur von Historic Racing und Historic Motor Racing. Er hat 20 Bücher über die Geschichte des Motorsports veröffentlicht, und ist vor allem als Biograf des Rennfahrers Jim Clark bekannt.
