Edgar Calabia Samar is a poet and novelist whose books have won Asia's most prestigious literary awards including a three-time winner of the Philippine National Book Award as well as the Man Asian Literary Prize, the NCCA Writer's Prize and many others. He has published many novels and collections of poetry. Mervin Malonzo is one of the best-known illustrators and graphic novel authors in the Philippines. His comic Tabi Po won the Philippine National Book Award and was adapted into a live action TV series by Cignal TV. He runs an independent publishing house, Haliya Publishing, with his wife Prin and a few friends dedicated to producing high level graphic fiction. Illustrator of After Lambana and Alternative Alamat; and co-illustrator of The Lost Journal of Alejandro Pardo and The Black Bestiary.
