Teenager Kady Toole loves living in her small, Kansas town with her book's inspiration - Izzy the Corgi. Izzy is a "cowboy corgi" because she is 3/4 Penn brook welsh corgi and 1/4 Australian shepherd. This makes her adorable and REALLY FAST. Kady was 16 and a high school sophomore when she wrote and illustrated this first book as part of a project based learning class in school. After much encouragement from family and friends she published "Izzy the Cowgirl Corgi." The book became the first in the series.
