The way children brought up and treated by their parents in childhood will greatly influence on the development of children to become physically and psychologically healthy adults. This book tells us about types of parenting and which one that influences on psychological health of adolescent students, particularly in Bekasi, one of regencies in West Java Province in Indonesia. The study in this book involves 151 secondary school students (72 males and 79 females). Their age ranges from 12 to 20 years with the mean age is 14.7 years. The study shows that parenting applied successfully in western contexts become ineffective when it is practiced by parents in eastern contexts, especially in Indonesia. What makes it different? M. Husni Mubarok, S. Psi, MCouns. Born in Bekasi on July 17th, 1978. He earned bachelor¿s degree in psychology at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta in 2003. He finished master¿s degree in counseling psychology in the University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2010.
