Tom Schulein has been researching and speaking widely on Iowa City history for over a decade. A 44-year resident of Iowa City and a retired associate professor of dentistry, he also researches typewriter and sewing machine history and loves all things mechanical. He and his wife of 55 years have two grown sons.
