The purpose of this poetry collection is to revitalize the internal spark of Islamic spirituality i.e. Sufism through poetry by rekindling the love of God in all readers' souls and by calling upon God to help his lovers. The larger purpose is to further turn this spark into a fire that will consume the external world in its warmth and become an ever-burning torch for those in darkness, hence the movement of this book is from inward to outward, from soul to body, from man to civilization. The poems in this poetry collection are an attempt to reflect the state of a lover of God with an intense yearning to meet his Lord and to sacrifice (Fana) his existence for God. Most poems in this collection are from a personal perspective invoking God to help his broken lover amidst winds of sorrow. Some poems reflect the spiritual experience of divine manifestation, and some in the second section are related to the state of Muslims and the world at large.
