In this book, a semi-virtual laboratory is proposed and implemented, composed of a virtual plant, a supervisory system, a real plant and a PLC. The virtual industrial plant can be used as a model for the development of a wide variety of plants that emulate real industrial plants, being suitable for teaching automation and control, as well as by companies for training employees or even testing control routines before applying them to the real system. The fundamentals regarding PLC as well as the implementation of the semi-virtual laboratory are detailed.
Autorenporträt
PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Aveiro - Portugal, MsC in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Informatics from CEFETPR and graduated from UFMA. He is a professor at IFMA since 1996. Works in the areas of Industrial Automation, Real-Time Systems and Embedded Systems.
