Author Profile Vic grew up in Kenya and enjoyed both the fun and challenging aspects of a rumbustious colonial upbringing. Educated at the Prince of Wales School in Nairobi, after twelve years at Primary School in Mombasa, he followed his father into a career in engineering: ¿ Building turbo generators in Loughborough for Hawker Siddeley Power. ¿ Designing and deploying subsea equipment for mini submarines and divers in Barrow in Furness for Vickers Offshore. ¿ Deploying and operating subsea equipment from a base in Leith docks for Vickers Oceanics. ¿ Operating as a Project Engineer in the North Sea for Wharton Williams Diving and Subsea Engineering. ¿ Building and operating subsea robots and diving vessels for Shell in USA, UK, Norway and Finland. ¿ Accepting a global remit to advise $100BN SABIC in innovation and localisation, involving over 33,000 people in 50 countries, during their merger with $2TRN ARAMCO. Subsequent evolutions include: ¿ Founding several Management Consultancies comprising core staff augmented by a number of associate consultants, generating between £1M and £2.5M per year. ¿ Undertaking a wide range of assignments across the four corners of Africa, the Americas, the Caspian, both ends of UK, parts of Europe and across the Middle East, around globalisation, nationalisation and localisation. ¿ Marrying his physician and raising a family. Pro bono interests comprise: ¿ Being a Barista in a Rudolph Steiner community. ¿ Constructing CVs for challenged people across a very broad spectrum. ¿ Implementing management standards across a number of third sector organisations.
