Dr. MengHee Tan is currently Professor Emeritus of Internal Medicine, Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology & Diabetes, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Prior to returning to academia, he was Distinguished Fellow and Global Medical Director of the Diabetes, Endocrine Platform Team, Eli Lilly and Company. Before that, he was Medical Director, Diabetes Disease Management (North America and Asia/Pacic), Beckton Dickinson and Company. Before his industrial career, he was Professor of Medicine & Biochemistry, and Head,Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at his alma mater, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada. He was President of the Canadian Diabetes Association and Chair of the Canadian Diabetes Advisory Board for Health & Welfare Canada. He was also Vice-President of the International Diabetes Federation and Chair of its Task Force on Insulin.
