With growing perspectives of alternative energy sources in the world, an analysis of national innovation systems in green energetics seems to demonstrate why one countries have gone so far in cutting-edge technologies than other. In this book, author tries to reveal an actual status of alternative energy industry in Russian Federation and elicit a fact why having both economic and territorial potential Russia demonstrates weak progress in exploitation of such opportunities. The entire research was mainly focused on USSR / Russian national innovation system in photovoltaic sector, which helped to understand some major processes and dynamics in the recent 50 years. Kirill Sarachuk, born in St. Petersburg, Russia, graduated from Friedrich-Schiller-University, Germany in 2015 and currently writes a dissertation there (as Doctorate Student). His area of interests covers primarily Financial Management, Innovation Systems and Market Selection, but also Alternative Energetics and Payment Systems.
