"I have known Angela Waters for a number of years as a friend and now as her Pastor. Her story is one of perseverance through the many afflictions that she has faced from an early age. Born and brought up in America as a black female life was not easy especially due to abuse not just by the system but also by those who were responsible for her. Angela's poems gives an insight into real life situations that not only a black person can identify with but also those who wish to have an understanding of the immoral treatment towards those who have had an unfortunate start to life. Angela's poems also speak to the heart of a person and regardless of colour and culture the reader will be able to learn about the truth of how black Americans suffer. Being a second class citizen is an understatement as there is no class whatsoever for a black person living in American. Despite the challenges that Angela has faced she has managed to attain a Bachelor in Public Administration/Political Science, and Master Degrees with Honors in Divinity with Pastoral Counseling and Psychology of Religion and Christian Education with Church Administration and Leadership.
