Information and Communications Technology (ICT) offers many means of improving teaching and learning in the classroom and will continue to be an important part of education for the new generations. The study highlights the significance of not only ICT adoption but also how particularly it can be implemented so as to maximize its instructional value and impact, especially at pre-primary level, where the Ugandan ICT Policy (2003), did not spell out clearly the curriculum guidelines for the formative level of education. In such circumstances, it is neither possible to evaluate and enhance the positive impact nor enforce necessary preparation and requisites prior to using ICTs for instructional purpose at pre-primary schools. The purpose of the study was to design a model for ICT Adoption and demonstrate how it can influence quality teaching in pre-primary schools based on selected pre-primary schools in Kampala Capital City Authority Region. The study presented findings, recommendations and a designed model for ICT adoption in quality teaching in pre-primary schools that would hopefully be useful to educationists and the government of Uganda.
