Mental health is one of the most comprehensive and broad indicators of human wellness. There is a dearth of mixed method studies that adopt the tripartite wellbeing model to study the mental health of IT professionals in the Indian context. The main objective of the present study was to understand the nature and extent of the influence of self-regulated behaviour and organizational culture on the mental health of IT professionals. It also addressed the question of what keeps the employees happy and content in their workplace. The study was conducted in two phases - a pilot study and the main study. Final sample for the main quantitative phase of the study consisted of 332 employees working in the IT sector, selected through incidental sampling. Thequantitative data was analysed using the GNU free software PSPP version 1.0.1. Interview responses were analysed using thematic content analysis.
