Produktbeschreibung
The study aimed at analysing the effects of the prices of construction materials and labour on the rate of housing development in Abuja. In order to achieve this, data were sourced quantitatively using archival data and Geospatial techniques which involved the use of Remote Sensing and Geographical Information System (GIS) to determine the rate of housing development over the years. The results of the research revealed that changes in the prices of building materials and labour have an effect on the rate of housing development at an average of 85% for materials and 99% for labour in the variation explained by the models. In conclusion, the resultant effects showed that materials and labour are good determinants of the rate of housing development. Based on the results and the conclusion drawn from the findings, indicated that any unit change in the prices of construction materials and labour would have an effect on the rate of housing development. The study provides models that can predict the rate of housing development in the study area.
