Lynn Stephen is Philip H. Knight Chair, Distinguished Professor of Arts and Sciences, and professor of anthropology at the University of Oregon. She has written or edited twelve books and more than ninety academic articles. Shannon Speed (Chickasaw) is director of the American Indian Studies Center and professor of gender studies and anthropology at UCLA. Her most recent book is Incarcerated Stories: Indigenous Women Migrants and Violence in the Settler-Capitalist State.
