Dr. M. C. (Millie) Gore is Hardin Distinguished Professor in the Special Education Program of the Department of Counseling and Special Education of the Gordon T. and Ellen West College of Education of Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. She is the author or coauthor of several books, including the Corwin Press title (with Dr. John F. Dowd), Taming the Time Stealers: Tricks of the Trade from Organized Teachers. Dr. Gore received undergraduate and master's degrees from Eastern New Mexico University and a doctorate from the University of Arkansas. She and husband Don spend their spare time with three adopted dogs: Sir, a Sheltie rescued from a puppy mill, Miss Winnie, an emotionally fragile Australian Shepherd cross, and Miss Ebbie Lou, three and a half pounds of fierce Chihuahua-Papillion independence.
