Professional education plays a significant role in enhancing the economic conditions of a country and standard of living of its people by preparing individuals directly for professional jobs such as law, medicine, teaching, engineering etc. The country which is strong in professional education becomes economically sound and developed, too. Keeping in mind the importance of professional education, the employers from the public, private and voluntary sectors, seek many skills in the fresh graduates while recruiting them. Out of many skills and capabilities, the values and professional aptitude of the students directly fetch the attention of the employers. Therefore, in the present study the investigator has tried to study both of these factors viz; values and professional aptitude of the students and their contribution in the prediction of their academic achievement. In this regard, the present study entitled "A study of values and professional aptitude of students in professional courses in relation to their academic achievement" was undertaken by the investigator on the students of three professional courses viz; B.Ed., MBA and MCA of Aligarh Muslim University, India.
