In this book parasitic incidence was compared in stray and pet dog population in urban area. Some of the canine helminths like Gnathostoma spinigerum, Toxascaris spp. and Capillaria spp. were reported for the first time in the study area. Besides this certain helminths of zoonotic importance like Ancylostoma caninum, Toxocara canis and Gnathostoma spinigerum were also reported. This book will be helpful in forming guidelines for minimizing zoonotic infections and to plan strategies for their control. This book will be of interest for dog lovers, researchers, Veterinarians and public health professionals.

Dr Sawleha Qadir is a graduate and post graduate of Veterinary College, Jabalpur. She worked as Junior Research Fellow and Contractual lecturer in SKUAST, Kashmir. Dr Alok Kumar Dixit, PhD, is working as Assistant Professor in Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University, Jabalpur. His area of research is veterinary helminthology.
