And to make it known that his immortal written work was the result of the encounter of two worlds, two cultures and two languages, he changed his Spanish name to Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, was proud to be a mestizo and sent a greeting to his countrymen who were inhabitants of that new space called Peru, which in his time was a viceroyalty, depended on Spain, but thanks to the strugglesof Independence reached the category of Republic in 1821.

ANTONIO GONZÁLEZ MONTES Il est titulaire d'un doctorat en littérature péruvienne et latino-américaine de l'UNMSM et d'une maîtrise en littérature péruvienne et latino-américaine de la même université. Il est professeur à temps plein au département de littérature de la faculté des lettres et des sciences humaines de l'UNMSM.
