Dr. John Strubhar was born in Chicago, Illinois, and attended Westmont College for one year before graduating with a B.A. from Summit Christian College in 1969. He continued his theological studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, receiving a M.Div. in 1973; a Th.M. in homiletics and pastoral theology in 1975; and a D.Min. in Church Administration and Revitalization in 1980. Currently, Dr. Strubhar is serving as an Interim Pastor with Interim Pastor Ministries (IPM). Prior to this ministry, he was the Lead Pastor at Maywood Evangelical Free Church in Rockford, IL. His previous ministries involved serving as the Executive Pastor at the Boca Ra-ton Community Church, Boca Raton, FL; Superintendent for the Great Lakes District of the Evangelical Free Church of America; and Lead Pastor of churches in Indiana, Illinois, and California. He is ordained by the Evangelical Free Church of America and is a lifetime member of the EFCA Ministerial Association. In addition to his pastoral duties, Dr. Strubhar has served as a graduate assistant and guest lecturer at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Summit Christian College, and Moody Bible Institute (Correspondence Department). He has also ministered as a church consultant and conference speaker. He has been a Director on the Board of Governors at Summit Christian College, the Pastor's Advisory Council at Trinity College, the American Board of Missions to the Jews, the Board of Directors for the Evangelical Free Church of America, and Reaching Indians Ministries International. Dr. Strubhar co-authored a book with the late Dr. Lloyd Perry entitled Evangelistic Preaching: A Step by Step Guide to Pulpit Evangelism, published by Moody Press in 1979 and reprinted by Wipf and Stock Publishers in 2000. He has also contributed several chapters to two men's devotional books: Time Out, published by Evergreen in 1989, and Take Five, published by Broad-man and Holman in 1994. Dr. Strubhar and his wife Sandy reside in Buckeye, Arizona. They have three grown children and eleven grandchildren.
