This is a personal account of how Warren Lemon pursued his calling through turmoil and success, and the impactful guidance of others. In July of 1963, at the age of 19, he left the familiar surroundings of Chipman, New Brunswick, to go west to Ontario. His first job led him to Hamilton, Ontario, for 18 months to work in a steel mill. His life's goal for a profession was to be a forest ranger, so studies at the Ontario Forest Ranger School in 1965 fulfilled that dream. A newsprint company in Kapuskasing, Ontario, was hiring forest technicians for summer, and then permanent employment, in the Woodlands Division. Beginning in January of 1966, at the age of 22, Warren worked for the next 38 years for Spruce Falls Power and Paper Company in Kapuskasing, mainly in a supervisory position in Woodlands. He married while in Kapuskasing, and he and his wife raised their family of two daughters. God impacted his early adult life to give him salvation, meaning, and hope, and a life of voluntary Christian service. Future generations can be positively impacted by the sharing of our past. "I have watched my cousin, Warren Lemon, since I was a boy and he was a young man. Over these decades, I have seen him grow in his spiritual strengths and his faith, becoming the respected leader he is today. I can attest to the integrity of both his life and his story. As you read this book, you will encounter a man committed to Christ. His story will motivate you to continue and deepen your own relationship with the Saviour." Autorenporträt
This small-town New Brunswick boy started life on January 1st of 1944 in Chipman, which was mainly a forest-industry town. He loved his family, his town, and the people. He graduated from Grade 12 in June of 1963, but, like many others from Chipman, travelled west to Ontario at age nineteen in search of what he felt could ensure a more secure future. Work at a steel mill in Hamilton from July of 1963 to December of 1964 provided the necessary funding for him to pursue a long-sought technical forestry education in 1965.Employment then led Warren Lemon to live in Kapuskasing, a town of 12,000 people 900 km north of Hamilton. In 1966 he started a thirty-eight-year career working in the forest industry for a newsprint company. He married in 1969 and he and Evelyn raised two daughters.Warren now has a passion to share his own life story, and the stories of a few others, with the next generation. He knows that people in every generation are searching for purpose in life. This book has been written to share the challenges and blessings in life, and also how a relationship with Jesus can provide encouragement, comfort and guidance.Impacting Lives can make and impact in your life!Contact Warren at:Phone: 1-705-335-6441Email: ewlemon@live.com
