Dr. Sowmya T. G. Achar hat an der Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta, Karnataka, in Englisch promoviert. Sie hat auch einen M.Phil. in Englisch von der S.V.-Universität, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Zurzeit arbeitet sie als Dozentin für Englisch am Government Polytechnic Vijayapura im Bundesstaat Karnataka (Indien). Sie hat 5 Forschungsartikel verfasst.
