Cherie O'Boyle is the author of the Estela Nogales mystery series, set in Arroyo Loco in the coastal mountains of California. Her first career was as a carpenter. In mid-life she earned a Ph.D. and served as Professor of Psychology at California State University, San Marcos. She has now reincarnated herself as a writer of humorous fiction. She happily squeezes in as much time with her fictional Arroyo Loco friends as she can, in between adventures with friends, family, and her real life border collies.
