Now, I'm being punished for having these needs because I seem normal to them. It actually traumatizes me not to be able to hug the people I like especially nurses. I wish I'd never left Special Ed so my needs would be met. I have affection and dependency needs due to autism and always have since birth. I hope reading this book will help you see this and help you understand the importance of meeting these needs.
