Horwitz, PhD, received a doctorate in clinical psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he conducted extensive research on adults who wrestle with chronic depressive disorders. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, The North Carolina Psychological Association, and The American Academy of Psychotherapists. Horwitz maintains a private practice in Durham, NC.
