Dr. Lizama is an Associate Professor of Social Work at the University of Guam since 2011. She earned her Doctorate in Human Services from Capella University in 2012. Dr. Lizamäs research focused on the traditional healing practices of the surhanu and suruhana and was titled "How are Traditional Chamoru healing practices perpetuated on Guam."
