Once upon a time, Barbara Hyslop, MA, Dip. Lib., PGCE compiled an annotated catalogue of children's picture books (imagining it to be a painless way of completing an assignment) and has been hooked ever since. In 1017 she joined with like-minded others to form Edinburgh Children's Illustrators. 'We drink coffee, plan exhibitions, and encourage one another. A lot of encouragement is needed while creating a children's book - and a lot of coffee...'
