This thesis portrays a history of the civil governmental support provided to the 12th U.S. Army Group's refugee and displaced persons operations by the Allied governments of France, Belgium, and Luxembourg from 6 June 1944 through 15 January 1945. The purpose of this thesis is twofold. First, it evaluates the significance of civil assistance available from three different governments.
