Produktbeschreibung
This guide to the Open-Air Museum Ballenberg details twelve vegetable gardens, each one planted with the vegetables, berries and fruits grown in its region in the period indicated. Many of these crop plants took their time arriving in Swiss gardens, many from the south or from overseas, while others were new crops from France and other agricultural regions. Whether you visit the Porridge Garden, the Oil Garden, the Cabbage Garden, the Cottager’s Garden, the Day Labourer’s Garden or the Huguenot Garden: each one offers an intriguing glimpse of the cultural and social history of rural Switzerland.
