Authors Harold D. Cardwell Sr. and Priscilla D. Cardwell, both lifelong Volusia County residents, are members of the Halifax Historical Society and the Port Orange Historical Trust. Mr. Cardwell is the chairman of the Daytona Beach Historic Preservation Board, and both are very active in numerous other community organizations. The Cardwells are previous Arcadia authors and have gathered here over 200 photographs of historic Daytona Beach, many of which have never before been published.
