Autorenporträt
Ruth Neikirk taught in elementary schools in Fairfax County, Virginia, for more than 25 years before retiring. An avid storyteller who loves to inspire young people, she wrote and directed annual school plays and created an ACE (Achieve and Commit to Excellence) Award for students who tried their best. This is her second published book--her first book, Gordo Goo, is about a basketball player at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, her hometown.
